Platform status

Backtest.ai is in internal testing. A closed beta is targeted for September 2026.

The documentation describes the platform as it works: the Signal language and signal compute, the data and methodology layer, EDA and models, the backtest engine with its three fill modes and two margin models, portfolios, accounts, and paper and live trading. A small number of items are still in progress, listed below. Everything else in these docs is current behavior.

Still in progress

The interface. The screens and controls described in these docs are accurate at the behavioral level, but the interface is still being finished, so element names and layouts may shift before the beta. The docs describe what each surface does, not pixel-final screens.

Live broker integrations. Paper and live trading are built, and live execution works as documented. Specific broker integrations are in progress with several brokers; no named integration is available yet, and the docs name no broker.

The model-output accessor. Referencing a model's prediction inside the Signal language is planned; there is no accessor for a model output today, and that wiring is the part still being built. Models themselves are fully available: you can build, train, and validate them, as documented in Signal analysis, models and validation.

No public API

There is no HTTP, REST, or SDK surface, and there will not be for some time. "Code" means the Signal language typed on the site.
