Senior full-stack software engineer

EngineeringRemote, Canada onlyFull-time

Be one of the first engineers on an AI-assisted quant platform for systematic options traders. Users write strategies in a custom DSL or through an AI agent; the engine backtests them against minute-resolution options history with real greeks, margin, fills, and slippage, then carries winners live to the broker. The stack: a Next.js 16 + React 19 web app over a FastAPI backend, a custom DSL with its own compiler and evaluator, a Polars/PyArrow data pipeline landing in ClickHouse, and a Claude-based agent layer. You will work across all of it, and what you ship lands in production the same week.

WHAT YOU'LL DO
Own features end to end across the web app (Next.js 16, React 19, TypeScript) and the backend (FastAPI, async Python 3.11).
Build the trader-facing surfaces: the CodeMirror DSL editor, Highcharts results views, and streaming AI chat.
Extend the backtest engine and the DSL: compiler, AST, evaluator, margin, slippage, and greeks.
Own the data pipeline: Polars and PyArrow computation into ClickHouse, plus corporate actions, dividends, and rates.
Wire the agent layer: LangGraph with Claude, pgvector RAG, and sandboxed execution on e2b.
WHAT YOU BRING
5+ years shipping production web apps. Expert TypeScript, strong Python.
Async, streaming, and strict typing as habits, not aspirations.
Product judgment and the appetite to own surfaces alone.
Clear async writing and strong remote habits.
NICE TO HAVE
Options or derivatives fluency, quant research, or backtesting experience.
ClickHouse or columnar analytics, LLM apps, Kubernetes in production.
THE PROCESS
01
Intro call with a founder (30 minutes)
02
Working session on real code
03
Decision in days, not months
